About the tour

Discover the lively city of Yogyakarta, famous for its long history and culture, with a guided tour. Your tour begins at 07.30 when your tour guide and a private car with driver pick you up. Yogyakarta was once the center of the Javanese monarchy, your first stop is the Kraton, also known as the Sultan’s Palace. Here, you’ll learn about the lifestyle of the sultans. After that, your guide will lead you to Taman Sari Water Castle, which used to be a royal residence with swimming baths for the king’s family. While you explore, you’will get a glimpse into the daily life of royalty. Yogyakarta is famous for its arts and crafts like batik, silverwork, and wayang (puppetry). At local shops, you can watch skilled artisans in action and see how they make beautiful textiles using traditional methods. Later in the day, you’ll visit Prambanan, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring stunning Hindu temples. You’ll be amazed by the architecture and the beautiful views of the surrounding area. Once the sun sets, your tour guide will take you back to your accommodation.
