About the tour
Discover Java’s Tumpak Sewu Waterfalls & Mount Bromo sunrise. Start in the morning with a scenic 2 hours drive in a private car from Malang to Tumpak Sewu Waterfalls, where a 120 meter cascade plunges into a lush rainforest valley. Known as the “Niagara of Indonesia”, you’ll have time to soak in the views and take incredible photos, with an option to trek down to the base for a closer look. Next, a private car will bring you to Cemoro Lawang, a village at the base of Mount Bromo, where you’ll stay overnight in a basic accommodation. Rise early and depart at 04:00 AM for a jeep tour to watch the sunrise over the Bromo landscape, bathing the volcanic peaks in golden light. Afterward, cross the Sea of Sand and hike to the crater’s edge to witness its steaming interior. Explore the unique landscape, with its sand dunes, whispering savannas, and volcanic rock formations, before heading back to your accommodation for a well-deserved breakfast and time to pack.
