In general the boat company publishes the actual boat schedule and sells the boat tickets at the end of the previous month. If you would like to book your tickets but the office didn’t start selling the tickets, we will note your booking in our calendar and contact you as soon as purchasing a ticket is possible. Please add a copy of your passports to your request; this is a requirement by the boat company. Without a copy of your passport we are not able to buy boat tickets for you. You may write ‘COPY’ on the scan or print of your passport to make sure it can’t be used for other purposes.
We will check your requested dates with the office and inform you about the availability within 24 hours.
If your dates are available we will send you a payment link. For the payment we use the services of Tab. This is a reliable online payment system. It is similar to PayPal, but cheaper and very easy to work with. The bank transaction costs of 2,9% + IDR 15.000 are not included in the price.
Transfer the payment as soon as possible after receiving our payment link.
After we have received your payment we will purchase your tickets as soon as possible (depending on the opening hours of the ticket office). Unfortunately, sometimes it may happen that in the time between you transferring the payment and us going to the office all the tickets will already be sold out. Therefore, we would like to emphasize that after you transfer the payment your booking is not yet guaranteed. Your booking will be guaranteed after we send you the invoice (see picture below) as proof that the ticket has been purchased. In the unfortunate case that all tickets are sold out, we will of course refund 100% of your payment.
We will send you the invoice as proof that the tickets have been purchased.
When you receive the invoice, this is a confirmation that you are guaranteed a seat on the boat. This invoice is not the boat ticket. On the day of departure we will meet you in the Kartini Jepara harbor in Jepara, to exchange the invoice for the boat ticket (see picture below). If you are travelling from Karimunjawa to Jepara you can exchange your invoice to the boat ticket on the day of departure at the office in the harbour.
We will give you your boat ticket one hour before departure time. The meeting point is at Warung Bu Diah in the Kartini Jepara harbor. We need to exchange the invoice for the ticket. When there is a long queue it is possible we will arrive less than 60 minutes before departure time. Don’t worry, we will come! Please wait at the meeting point at the Warung Bu Diah (see picture below) for our host Mas Harjono or Mbak Yayuk. Please make sure you are in the Kartini Jepara harbor one hour before departure time. We can’t refund your money in case you are too late and miss the boat.
In case you also booked the return ticket with us, you will recieve in Jepara the original invoice for the way back as well. Please save this invoice because you need to exchange this in Karimunjawa for the boat tickets for the way back. See step 6 for more information.
Did you book a return from Jepara, then you will recieve the invoice for the way back in Jepara as well. One hour before departure time for the boat from Karimunjawa to Jepara you can exchange this invoice by yourself in the office from Bahari Express. You will find the office on the left side just before you enter the harbour.
Did you book only a one way from Karimunjawa to Jepara then you can pick up your invoice first at Hotel The Happinezz before you going to the office in the harbour to exchange your invoice for the boat tickets.
Please make sure you are in the Karimunjawa harbor one hour before departure time. We can’t refund your money in case you are too late and miss the boat.
