Conditions

Below you can read the conditions which apply when we arrange the tickets for the fast boat for you. Please let us know in case you have any questions about this.

We can only buy tickets if the boat tickets are not sold out yet. In general the boat ticket company starts selling the boat ticket one month in advance. If you would like to book your tickets but the office hasn’t started selling the tickets yet, we will note your booking in our calendar and contact you as soon as purchasing a ticket is possible.

***

Once the ticket is purchased, it is not possible to reschedule or cancel.

***

During the rainy season (January & February) the boat schedule often changes. It is possible that fewer or no boats are scheduled or that the departure time will change. You can contact us one day before your departure date and we can then inform you about the current weather and wave conditions.

***

Please note that boat journeys can be cancelled last minute due to weather conditions. If this is the case, you will be contacted immediately to discuss your options. You can either get a refund for the day that the boat is cancelled, or exchange your ticket for the next available boat scheduled to leave. You will only be refunded for the boat that has been cancelled. If you do not make it to the island due to a cancellation, it is not possible to get a refund on your ticket back to Jepara as the boat tickets are always sold as single journeys.

***

In case you are planning to come to Karimunjawa by slow boat and you only purchased  a fast boat ticket with us from Karimunjawa to Jepara, we can’t refund your money in case of changes to the schedule/delay of the slowboat resulting in you arriving a few days later on Karimunjawa, because these are separate companies.

***

You need to be present in the harbour of Jepara / Karimunjawa at least 60 minutes before departure time. We can’t refund your money in case you are too late and you miss the boat. It is your own responsibility to arrive in the harbour on time.

***

After arriving in Karimunjawa harbour the crew of the National Park will ask you to pay a tourist tax of IDR 5.000 for Indonesian / KITAS holder and IDR 150.000 (weekdays) / 225.000 (weekend) for western guests without KITAS to enter the National Park of Karimunjawa. This is not included in the ticket price and needs to be paid in cash after you arrive in Karimunjawa.
