How does it work

STEP 1

SEND US YOUR REQUEST

Fill in our booking form here.

We can help you buy the boat tickets starting from the last week of the previous month. We can only buy tickets if you send your request at least 48 hours in advance (if the boat tickets are not sold out yet). If you would like to book your tickets more in advance, we will note your booking in our calendar and contact you as soon as purchasing a ticket is possible. Please add a copy of your passports to your request; this is a requirement by the boat company. Without a copy of your passport we are not able to buy boat tickets for you. You may write ‘COPY’ on the scan or print of your passport to make sure it can’t be used for other purposes.

STEP 2

WAIT FOR THE AVAILABILITY CONFIRMATION

We will check your requested dates with the office and inform you about the availability within 24 hours.

If your dates are available we will send you a payment link. For the payment we use the services of Tab. This is a reliable online payment method. It is similar to PayPal, but cheaper and very easy to work with. The bank transaction costs of 2,9% + IDR 15.000 are not included in the price.

STEP 3

TRANSFER THE PAYMENT

Transfer the payment as soon as possible after receiving our payment link.

After we have received your payment we will purchase your tickets as soon as possible (depending on the opening hours of the ticket office). Unfortunately, sometimes it may happen that in the time between you transferring the payment and us going to the office all the tickets will already be sold out. Therefore, we would like to emphasize that after you transfer the payment your booking is not yet guaranteed. Your booking will be guaranteed after we send you the invoice (see picture below) as proof that the ticket has been purchased.  In the unfortunate case that all tickets are sold out, we will of course refund 100% of your payment.

STEP 4

RECEIVE THE INVOICE ONLINE

We will send you the invoice as proof that the tickets have been purchased.

When you receive the invoice, this is a confirmation that you are guaranteed a seat on the boat. This invoice is not the boat ticket. On the day of departure we will meet you in the Kartini Jepara harbor, to exchange the invoice for the boat ticket (see picture below).

STEP 5

MEET US ONE HOUR BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME IN THE KARTINI JEPARA HARBOR

We will give you your boat ticket one hour before departure time. The meeting point is at Warung Bu Diyah in the Kartini Jepara harbor.

We need to exchange the invoice for the ticket. When there is a long queue it is possible we will arrive less than 60 minutes before departure time. Don’t worry, we will come! Please wait at the meeting point at the Warung Bu Diyah (see picture below). Our host will wear a “Happinezz” T-shirt. Please make sure you are in the Kartini Jepara harbor one hour before departure time. We can’t refund your money in case you are too late and miss the boat. When you will be boarding the boat from Jepara to Karimunjawa the crew of the boat will ask you to pay a tourist tax of IDR 25.000 to enter the National Park of Karimunjawa. This fee is not included in the ticket price and can only be paid in cash at the time of boarding.

STEP 6

YOUR RETURN TICKET

Receive the invoice for the way back from Karimunjawa to Jepara.

For your ticket for the way back from Karimunjawa to Jepara sometimes we will give you the invoice directly in the harbor of Jepara. If you didn’t receive the invoice, please come the evening before departure to our hostel “The Happinezz”. The morning of departure you can exchange the invoice for the boat ticket two hours before departure. Please note that the office is not in the harbor. It is the first (yellow) building on the left side before the harbor entrance. At the moment you exchange the voucher for the boat ticket you need to pay an government fee to leave the island of IDR 4.000 per person. This is not included in the boat ticket price.
